  报告人简介:

  Maofeng Chai achieved his Ph.D. (2005) from China Agricultural University and has worked as assistant professor in Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He had his postdoctoral training in Purdue University and The Ohio State University, and then joined the Noble Foundation in 2011. His research areas include the improvement of abiotic and biotic stress tolerance, and legume seeds physical dormancy. His current research focuses on the identification of novel genes involved in legume forage improvement. He initially established Medicago truncatula as a tractable genetic model to study physical dormancy serving as a significant advancement in this field. His research data have been reported in PNAS, The Plant Cell, The Plant Journal, etc.
