  报告人简介

  Dongpyo Kim教授是韩国浦项科技大学化学系教授,韩国国家微流控应用化学实验中心主任。

  金教授毕业于美国天普大学(Temple University)化学系。目前是工业和工程化学,高分子科学与工程,陶瓷学会,化学工程师学会的终身会员,也是生物芯片,K-MEMS 的会员。J. Ind. Eng. Chem., Carbon Lett.,The Open Nanomed. J. 等编委会成员。近年来,论文发表于Science, Nature Communication, 德国应化,Lap Chip 等领先期刊。他的微流控研究被韩国教育部和科技部多次表彰(highlighted in mass media)。 金教授作为PI,成功申请并主持韩国国家级研究项目(Creative Research Initatives, Korea CCS 2020)。金教授在微流式化学化工技术,微藻和材料等领域都有大量卓越的研究成果,详细内容请参看http://camc.postech.ac.kr/icons/app/cms/?html=/home/int2_1.html&shell=/index.shell:405

  报告摘要:

  Microfluidic systems have an obvious potential to control, monitor and manipulate algal samples as well as to integrate those steps with cell encapsulating droplets in a continuous-flow manner. Here, we developed microfluidic platforms to perform cell culture, genetic transformation, and algal lipid extraction. A new microfluidic platform is constructed to compose of an array of perfusion chambers designed for long-term cultivation and preliminary screening of motile microalgal cells through loading and releasing of cells to and from the chambers. Another hand, a fully integrated centrifugal microfluidic device with organic resistance for rapid on-site quantification of lipids from microalgal samples was developed by serially conducting cell sedimentation and lysis, liquid-liquid extraction, and colorimetric detection of lipid contents within 13 min using a lab-on-a-disc. In addition of a digital microfluidic electroporation (EP) system as developed by ours, continuous-flow microfluidic EP system is under development to improve productivity and facile integration process. These novel platforms will contribute towards sustainable biofuel applications by providing a practical solution for efficient algal R&D activity as well as on-site monitoring.
