科研领域描述:

放线菌作为海洋微生物中的一个重要类群,具有高度的物种多样性和功能多样性,更因其能产生独特的次生代谢产物而备受关注。我们主要利用宏基因组技术、基因勘探技术及系统分类学手段分析海洋微生物(放线菌)资源多样性(菌种、基因)及其功能,为海洋微生物资源的利用和开发提供基础。



研究方向:

(1)极端环境(极地、深远海)或特殊环境下(近海、滨海湿地)的放线菌资源开发及分子生态学、生物地理学研究;

(2)采用Genomemining挖掘菌株次级代谢产物合成的多样性,评估海洋放线菌合成活性物质的潜力,探讨其功能演化途径,发现海洋放线菌分类系统与次级代谢产物合成基因的相关性;

(3)海洋放线菌(化学)生态功能的探索;

Research Interests:

1. Actinobacterial diversity: Evaluate thediversity and distribution patterns of actinobacteria in extreme or specialecosystems by using culture-independent and culture-based approaches. Developnew cultivation techniques to isolate rare actinobacteria. Identify anddescribe novel species.

2. Evaluation of novel secondary metabolitebiosynthetic potential: Use a sequence-guided genetic screening strategy toclone and identify genes that encode PKS, NRPS or tailoring enzymes involved innatural product biosyntheses pathways. Use these genes as indicator for theidentification and preselection of strains that have the genetic potential toproduce novel secondary metabolite of interest.

3. Correlation between systematics andnatural products: Analyse the diversity and distribution of secondary metabolitesbiosynthetic genes in different actinobacteria taxa. Determine if there is ataxonomic pattern relative to biosynthetic genes.
