课程内容简介(英文) Child Health Care is an unique specialty in Pediatrics, not only because it is the basis of all other pediatric specialties, but also it has many interactive relationship with other specialties in Pediatrics. Recent year, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics has been rapidly developed in the world. As one of the major curriculums in graduate student courses, Child Health Care curriculum will focus on the most recent recommendation of child growth chart and nutritional surveillance system from WHO, address child development and behavior knowledge, and introduce the new theory, advance technology, et al. Starting from the history of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, we will introduce the milestone of child neuropsychological development and it's neurobiological mechanism, the new assessment tools of neurodevelopment, environmental factors related to neurocognition, early nutrition on neuropsychological development, how to effectively implement the program of care for early child development, and the prenatal environmental exposure on early child development. Those advanced knowledge and technology were all taught by experience professors with different background, from Pediatric nutrition, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Environmental Science, epidemiology, et al. All the faculties have at least one year training experience aboard and are national top experts in this area. This aim of this curriculum is to deliver the most advance knowledge in child health care, as well as to improve students' English communication and reading skills. All the teachers will use both English and Chinese in the class, and encourage students to use English in the discussion and other interactive sessions. |
