本课程主要介绍现代分子细胞生物学研究的重要进展，特别是与生命医学相关的一些领域的新的知识，新的研究方向，新的研究手段与研究策略等。其主要内容包括：人类基因组计划与基因组学，生物信息学的基本概念与应用，蛋白质科学的研究进展与蛋白组学，基因表达调控与细胞信号转导，细胞生物学的研究进展，发育的分子细胞生物学基础，肿瘤分子细胞生物学研究进展，神经生物学的分子细胞基础，和代谢分子生物学的研究进展等。我们将主要邀请上述领域的校内外专家进行12个专题演讲，并安排三次讨论。本课程主要为生物化学，分子生物学，细胞生物学等专业研究生以及相关研究方向的其他专业研究生开设，选修本课的研究生应具备分子细胞生物学的基本知识。

The focus of this course will be the recent advances in modern molecular and cell biology. In particularly, the course will mainly introduce novel knowledge, new research directions and fields, and new experimental methods and approaches that related to biomedicine in molecular and cell biology. The major topics will be covered: human genome project and genomics, bioinformatics, proteomics, the regulation of gene expression and signal transduction, recent advances in cell biology, the molecular and cellular basis for development, advances in cancer biology, neurobiology, and metabolism et al. The 12 lectures will be presented by invited speakers, and 3 discussion sections will be led by the course instructor to read and discuss primary literatures. The course is mainly for graduate students in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or graduate students whose major is others but dissertation research is related to above topics. The general knowledge in molecular and cell biology is prerequisite for student enrollment.
