KCJJ口腔材料学是介于生物学、医学和材料学之间的一门交叉性边缘学科，它是生物医学材料学中发展最早、标准化工作最具基础，具有系统性的一门比较成熟的学科，它具有知识和技术密集的特点。口腔材料学是口腔医学的一门基础学科，它几乎覆盖了口腔医学中的各个学科内容，从口腔充填材料（补牙）、口腔修复材料（装牙）、口腔正畸材料（矫治），到口腔颌面鹰复材料、颌骨缺损的填补材料、种植牙等等，都与口腔材料学紧密相关。尤其是近年来随着生物材料和口腔医学的迅速发展，口腔材料在口腔医学中发挥着越来越重要的作用，材料的更新和发展，促进了临床医疗的治疗水平。对于未来要从事口腔医学事业的学生来讲，如何适应形势，及时地补充和吸收有关材料方面的知识？这是培养新一代口腔医学专业的学生所必须考虑的问题。本课程将围绕最新口腔材料的发展状况，重点介绍当今国内外口腔生物材料的前沿内容，其中包括口腔医学领域中具有应用前景的几类新材料、国内外口腔材料的研究和标准化的动态以及我国口腔材料50年回顾以及展望等。将最新的口腔材料学的研究、标准和应用状况传授给学生，充实目前在口腔医学领域中有关材料学的知识，以理论指导临床实践，为口腔临床医疗服务。

KCJJY"Science of dental materials is a crossing subject which involving the biology, medicine and material science. It was developed and standardized earlier than other biomedical materials. It is also a basic and matured subject in dentistry. Dental materials almost cover many areas including filling materials, restorative materials, dental implant material and orthodontic materials. With the advancing in biomaterials and dentistry, dental materials which could provide the functional requirements in clinical manipulation play a more important role than ever before.Nowadays, students of dentistry must be provided with suitable background in materials science that will enable them to rationally consider new dental materials as they are developed during their professional career. This course of Advanced Dental Materials will provide a contemporary, scientifically-based and clinically relevant curriculum in dental biomaterials to graduate students. Our teaching activities cover many advanced areas of dental materials, such as a new bioceramic materials, noble metal alloy, implant biomaterials and biological evaluation of dental materials and ect. The course is meant to teach the student in dentistry about the new knowledge of materials, which is necessary to enable them to understand how to select and use the dental materials. It may be an imperative necessity for proper clinical practice."
