【学术经历】 上海大学教授、博士生导师,上海大学“信息工程研究开发”中心主任,教育部“新型显示技术及应用集成”重点实验室副主任,曾任上海大学通信与信息工程学院副院长、上海工业大学通信与电子工程系系主任;1962年毕业于西安交大无线电工程系。1995年、1997年先后到日本大阪大学和美国加州大学讲学和学术交流。

【研究领域】 图象处理,视频压缩编码与多媒体通信,数字视频与流媒体技术。

【学术成就】 先后出版著作与教材8部,其中数字电视原理于1993年获国家电子类优秀著作/教材一等奖。是我国数字电视技术、立体视频技术和工业电视应用技术的先驱研究者之一,在数字视频特技、数字电视接收及其测试、规范式模型基图象压缩编码、基于帧估计的立体视频编解码系统以及存在互遮挡的多个视频对象的自动分割提取和H.264的优化与实时实现上进行了大量的开创性研究,已发表论文100余篇、申请发明专利8项、获得省部级科技进步奖7项(二等奖2项、三等奖5项),并获中国广播电视科学技术奖1项,全国优秀教师奖和Inter优秀教师奖各1项。

【学术兼职】通信学报上海大学学报电视技术编委,中国电子学会广播电视技术分会副主任、消费电子技术学会副主任,上海图象图形学会多媒体通信委员会主任。

【Learning History】 He is currently a professor and Ph.d. supervisor of Shanghai University; He also is head of the “Information Engineering Research and Development center” and vice-director of prior to his current appointment he was vice-director of school of Communication and Information Engineering at the University of Shanghai, and head of the Electronic and Information Engineering Department at Shanghai University of Technology. He graduated from the Department of Wireless Electronic Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, in 1962.

【Research Domains】 Image Processing; Video Compression and Multimedia Communication; Digital video and streaming Technique.

【Learning Successes】 He has published 8 books, in which “Digital Television Principle” won the state’s Award for excellent teaching book. He developed the first domestic made digital video specific effect system in 1990, and proposed video coding based on image edge model, stereo video coding based on frame estimation and so on. In these fields, he won 7 awards for the advancement of science and technology at Shanghai and Electronic ministry (second grade award 2 terms and third grade award 5 terms), and published 100 papers in journals and International proceedings of conferences.
