黄肇明(Huang zhaoming) ,男1937年7月生,福建福州人。

1960年毕业于厦门大学 物理系、无线电物理专业本科。

1960-1974 在中国科学院福建物质结构研究所,从事电光、激光晶体的结构与性能的研究。从64年,开始电光晶体调制器、光通信技术的研究。1972年开始参加中国第一个光纤通信计划-----“723机”的研究。

1974年至今,在上海科技大学、上海大学,历任讲师、副教授、教授,曾先后任上海科大光纤技术研究所所长,上海大学通信工程系系主任、上海大学通信与信息工程学院副院长。主要从事:光纤性能研究与参数测量,光纤弱磁场与光纤陀螺的研究以及光纤通信技术的研究。

铁电性晶体的压电、电光、非线性光学特性;光纤性能及参量测量;光纤通信元器件与传输技术与光纤传感(光纤弱磁场与光纤陀螺)技术等。

Name: Huang zhaoming

Birth Place: Fuzhou city, Fujian province, PRC

Education and Working Experiences:

Graduated from the Department of Physics, Xiamen University, China, in 1960. Majored in Radio Techniques and Physical (Materials).

From 1960 to 1974, I joined the Institute of Materials Structure, the Chinese Academy Sciences, Fujian and had been engaged in the study of structures and characteristics of electro-optical and lasering crystals. From 1964, I started to study the electro-optical crystal modulator and technologies of the optical communication. In 1972, I jointed in a research project to develop Chinese first optical fiber communication system---usually called “723-system”.

From 1974 up to date, after joining Shanghai Science and Technology University (in 1995 the name of university had be changed as Shanghai University), I had been a lecturer, assistant professor and professor. I had been served as the head of the Institute of Optical Fiber Technology, Shanghai Science and Technology University, the director of the Department of Communication Engineering and the vice dean of the Department of Communication and Information Engineering, Shanghai University. My main research activities included the study of fiber optical characteristics and the measurement of optical parameters, the study of the sensors of the weak magnetic field of the optical fiber and the optical fiber gyroscope, and the study of fiber optical communication technologies.

Academic Specialty:

specialized in the ferroelectrics crystal and it’s characteristics of the piezoelectricity electro-optical and non-linear optical, optical fiber characteristics and parameter measurements, optical devices used in fiber optical communications, optical transmission technologies and optical fiber sensing technologies and so on.

Society Activities and Titles:

Commissary of Optic Society of China and Integrated and Fiber Optic Society of China, and Commissary of Optical Communication Committee of Shanghai Communication Society.
