冯东,男,1980年10月生,博士,教授,硕士和博士生导师。
近年来主持国家重点研发计划课题1项和国家自然科学基金项目6项,包括1项青年、1项优青、2项面上、1项重大研究计划培育项目、1项国际合作与交流。已发表包括Geology、EPSL等国际地学顶级刊物在内的第一或通讯作者SCI论文41篇,合作SCI论文19篇,累计SCI刊物引用1000余次。
长期从事海洋沉积地球化学研究,尤其是围绕冷泉流体活动的沉积记录和冷泉系统的生物地球化学过程开展了深入研究。2013年作为“蛟龙”号载人深潜器首批下潜科学家实地考察了南海活动冷泉,2016年通过“海马”号水下机器人考察了海马冷泉,2018年参加了“ROPOS”号水下机器人南海科考,负责冷泉探测部分,是我国为数不多的具有类似经历的研究人员之一。
在10多年的研究中发现了富甲烷环境发育的自生碳酸盐岩具有独特的晶格硫δ18O/δ34S斜率,明确了冷泉活动主要在低海平面时发育;确定了冷泉系统流体活动的动态性,揭示了微量元素的富集机制,发现了冷泉双壳类化能自养过程的同位素“指纹”记录。获得的研究进展为甲烷流体渗漏搭建了从“现代过程”迈向“古代记录”的桥梁,为准确评估海底冷泉和天然气水合物分解释放甲烷对深部碳库和碳循环的影响的提供基础数据,为揭示地质历史时期甲烷所扮演的调节地球环境和气候变化等提供理论支撑。同时对我国海域活动冷泉的研究工作起到引领前沿的作用,推动了我国在该领域的快速发展。
