Biography

Xiaoshi Song received the B. Eng. degree in electrical and information engineering from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 2008, and Ph. D degree in communication and information engineering from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in 2014.

During his doctoral studies at BUPT, he was with the Beijing Key Laboratory of Network System Architecture and Convergence under the supervision of Professor Danpu Liu, and Professor Changchuan Yin.

Since July 2014, he has joined the School of Information Science and Engineering of the Northeastern University, Shenyang, China. He was a visiting Ph. D student at the University of California, Irvine, USA, from Sep. 2011 to Sep. 2013, advised by Professor Syed Ali Jafar, and a visiting scholar at the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, from July 2014 to Oct. 2014, hosted by Professor Kaibin Huang.

His research interests include stochastic geometry and its applications in large-scale wireless networks, wireless communications and network information theory.
