王璞博士，现任东北大学生命科学与健康学院副教授，硕士研究生导师。2007年在沈阳药科大学生命科学与生物制药学院微生物与生化药学系获得博士学位，从事神经节苷脂通过蛋白解离抑制因子（Ly-GDI）以及肿瘤坏死因子（TNF-α）调控小鼠黑色素瘤B16细胞转移机制的研究，并于次年荣获沈阳药科大学优秀博士学位论文称号，2008年3月-2012年8月在美国约翰霍普金斯大学做博士后研究，从事平流剪切应力调控IL-6和MMP-9表达机制的研究。在SCI收录期刊发表原创论文15篇。作为主要参与者，获得美国NIH基金资助项目2项，日本Mizutani基金资助项目1项。2012年8月作为国外引进人才回到东北大学生命科学与健康学院工作，继续从事COX-2通过炎症机制调控阿尔茨海默和骨关节炎发病机制领域的研究。

主要从事环氧合酶-2（Cyclooxygenase-2, COX-2）代谢紊乱参与阿尔茨海默病（Alzheimer’s Disease, AD）和骨关节炎（Osteoarthritis, OA）发病机理的研究。应用体外细胞模型和体内小鼠模型相结合的方式，探讨COX-2通过调控炎症因子的表达影响AD和OA发病的分子机制，试图揭示非甾体抗炎药（NSAIDs）作为COX-2抑制剂类药物治疗AD和OA发病的分子机理。进而对COX-2调控AD和OA发病的信号传导通路进行阐述，发现AD和OA发病的分子靶点，为药物开发提供新思路，新靶标。
