二、研究方向
1. 天然活性蛋白/多肽发掘：利用生物化学、分子生物学等手段从各种生物体中发掘天然活性蛋白/多肽分子，揭示其结构、功能和作用机理，为新型蛋白/多肽类药物开发提供先导分子。
2. 多肽设计改造和应用研究：以天然多肽为模板，利用序列剪切、定点突变和分子修饰等方法进行构效关系研究，揭示影响多肽分子活性和稳定性的关键结构参数，为相关多肽分子在药物开发等领域的应用奠定基础。
3. 多肽与疾病：综合利用各种生物学技术研究外源和内源多肽在各种人类疾病发生和治疗中的作用及机理。

三、主要研究成果
到目前为止，共发表SCI研究论文54篇，其中第一作者和通讯作者论文36篇（二区以上25篇），总被引用1300余次，总影响因子超过150，H index = 21。申请国家发明专利70项，其中50项已获得授权。主持国家自然科学基金青年项目、面上项目和江苏省自然科学基金面上项目等科研项目共13项，参与项目17项。
