汪名怀,安徽安庆桐城人,南京大学大气科学学院教授,博士生导师。本科和硕士分别毕业南京大学和北京大学,2009年在美国密西根大学获得大气科学博士学位,2009-2014年就职于美国能源部太平洋西北国家实验室,先后接受博士后训练及担任二级和三级科学家,2014年全职回到南京大学,2014年入选江苏省****。主要研究方向是气溶胶,云和气候相互作用,有着多年气候模式发展和应用经历,在美工作期间是美国能源部下一代气候模式E3SM开发团队的核心成员,近年主持参与多项国家级科研项目,包括主持国家自然科学基金重点项目和****基金项目。汪名怀教授在气溶胶、云的模拟及气溶胶-云相互作用领域取得了有国际影响力的成果,迄今已发表SCI论文70多篇,SCI总引用2000多次,高影响指数H-index为30。汪名怀目前担任大气与地球系统科学(教育部)国际合作联合实验室主任,国际气溶胶-云-降雨-气候(ACPC)工作组共同主席, SCI期刊Advance in Atmospheric Sciences编辑和Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmosphere副编辑。
