中生代隐翅虫化石研究是我所古昆虫研究的方向之一。2013年以来，我所博士研究生蔡晨阳与导师黄迪颖研究员及国内外同行在SCI期刊先后合作发表研究论文9篇，主要针对中国东北中生代隐翅虫科甲虫化石进行了研究并取得了系列新进展。

　　一、对先前报道的中生代隐翅虫种属分类位置进行厘定，详细讨论了Megolisthaerus Solodovnikov and Yue, 2010，Sinoxytelus Yue, Zhao & Ren, 2010和Anotylus archaicus Yue, Makranczy & Ren, 2012的分类位置。

　　二、在中侏罗世道虎沟生物群发现我国第一块确切的四眼隐翅虫亚科（Omaliinae）的代表；在早白垩世热河生物群发现了异形隐翅虫亚科（Oxytelinae）Euphaniini族的最早代表和粪生隐翅虫族（Coprophilini）一新属，以及隐翅虫亚科（Staphylininae）现生肩隐翅虫属（Quedius）的最早代表。

　　三、研究了俄罗斯外贝加尔地区下白垩统、澳大利亚上侏罗统Talbragar鱼层的隐翅虫化石。

　　本项研究得到了科技部973项目，现代古生物学与地层学国家重点实验室自主课题，江苏省杰出青年科学基金以及国家自然科学基金的资助。
