Biography Arthur obtained his BS in Engineering Mechanics from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his PhD in Biomechanics from Northwestern University. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he joined University of Pennsylvania as Assistant Professor in Bioengineering and Orthopedic Research. Before his return to Hong Kong, Arthur studied for his MA in Religion at Westminster Theological Seminary. Arthur joined The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1988 and subsequently became Chair Professor of Rehabilitation Engineering, Founding Head of Health Technology and Informatics, Founding Dean of Students, and Associate Vice President (Academic Development). Arthur moved to The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011 and for some years served as Programme Director and Graduate Division Head for Biomedical Engineering. Arthur joined Hong Kong Baptist University in 2019 and for 2 years served as Associate Vice President (Student Experience). He is currently an Adjunct Professor in Biomedical Engineering at both CUHK and PolyU.
