Leung Chi-hong graduated from the Department of Biology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Then he studied in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the same university and was awarded an MPhil degree and a PhD degree respectively. He also obtained his MBA from the University of Leicester, MEdSt from the University of Western Australia, and DBA from the University of Newcastle. Consistent with the academic background, his working experience covers several disciplines. He was responsible for a research project in the Faculty of Engineering at Hong Kong University (1996 – 1999). Then, he taught in the Faculty of Education at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1999 – 2003) and worked as a project fellow in the Faculty of Business at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2003 – 2004). In recent years, before joining the Department, he worked in the Education Bureau to monitor the progress of Government-funded projects in Hong Kong primary and secondary schools.
