William Lo is an Associate Professor and the Associate Head ofthe Department of International Education at the Education University of Hong Kong. His research areas include higher education policy and comparative and international higher education, with a focus on East Asia.
He has published a sole-authored book, University Rankings: Implications for Higher Education in Taiwan (Springer, 2014), and over 20 articles in international peer reviewed journals, such as Comparative Education, Higher Education, Higher Education Policy, and Compare.He has also published over 10 refereed book chapters.
Dr Lo is a former Associate Editor of the Journal of Asian Public Policy(Routledge), and serves on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Comparative Education and Development (Emerald). He has served as General Secretary and Membership Secretary of the Hong Kong Educational Research Association.
Dr Lo holds a PhD in social policy from the University of Bristol.
