Dr. Huang read English at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and obtained a PhD degree in Applied English Linguistics from CUHK before she joined HKBU in 2013.? She is currently teaching The Art of Persuasion,?Writing for Professional Communication, and Strategic Communication Practicum. She was the former advisor of The Young Agency (TYA), a student agency for Public Relations, Advertising and Branding majors.

From 2017 to 2019, I led a Professional Communication Writing project collaborating with the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. This project provides our students with hand-on practice of writing feature articles in a real-life context.
During this 3-year period, our communication students have written about 30 feature stories for the three booklets on the Knowledge Exchange (KE) Award of HKU Faculty of Dentistry.
