Dr. Xi Tian is a communication scientist specializing in interpersonal and health communication. Her research examines the process of supportive communication that fosters psychological and physical health following major life stressors, such as pregnancy loss and the death of a loved one. Her work has been published in major communication and related journals, such as Journal of Communication, Health Communication, Death Studies, Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, and Journal of Language and Social Psychology.
