Dr. IYASWAMY Ashokis currently a Research Assistant Professor at School of Chinese Medicine. He graduated with B.Sc. degree in 2005 at Madurai Kamaraj University and M.Sc. degree in 2007 at University of Madras respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Physiology and Neuroscience from Institute of Basic Medical Science at University of Madras in 2015. He then received postdoctoral training at the School of Chinese Medicine of Hong Kong Baptist University from 2014 to 2020.
Dr. Iyaswamy Ashok's research interests are:
Understanding the molecular mechanisms and pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.
Developing potential methods for brain drug delivery system and biomaterials for diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases.
Identifying possible benefits of Chinese herbal medicine for prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
