BiographyDr. Genevieve Fung graduated from the University of Cambridge, and came back to work in Hong Kong after completing her internship in U.K. She received her basic and higher Paediatrics training in Hong Kong with special interest in Neonatology. Dr. Fung obtained Paediatric Specialist qualification in 2004 and is an American Academy of Pediatrics certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program Regional Trainer. She received overseas training in Neonatology at the Monash Medical Centre, Australia and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, USA. Dr. Fung has experience working in various HA hospitals, and she was Associate Consultant in Paediatrics at United Christian Hospital before joining the Chinese University of Hong Kong as Assistant Professor in Paediatrics in 2021. In addition to hospital Paediatrics, Dr. Fung is also involved in Child Health promotion and education with the Hong Kong Paediatrics Society, as well as voluntary Neonatal teaching in Yunnan, China. Her main research areas are late preterm infants, neonatal infections, and biomarkers in necrotizing enterocolitis.
