BiographyProf. Dorothy Chan’s research interest focuses on cancer prevention and screening, model development, symptom management for cancer patients after surgery and other treatments. Prof. Chan has participated in several ethnic minority health-related projects to explore factors associated with their screening behaviours, and to develop health education materials for promoting cancer screening among ethnic minorities. Moreover, she has delivered a number of health talks to South Asian women and secondary school students to promote the importance and adoption of cancer prevention and screening. She received several presentation awards and scholarships from local and international conferences in recognition of her outstanding performance in research.
