Biography
Dr. Chenye Wu is an Assistant Professor at the School of Science and Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). He is the Presidential Young Fellow, granted by the?High-level University Fund Management Committee, CUHKSZ.?Before joining CUHKSZ, Dr. Wu was an Assistant Professor at Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences, Tsinghua University. In 2013, he got his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences, Tsinghua University, under the supervision of Professor Andrew Yao, the Turing Award Laurent in the year of 2000.
Interdisciplinary research is his particular strength and he currently participates actively in two broad areas of "CS/AI+X" type research: 1) AI+Energy Economics, with an emphasis on studying the vulnerability of AI based pricing schemes, limitation of AI with extremely unbalanced sample sets; 2) CS+Urban Systems, i.e., understand many real world phenomenon through computational (very often stochastic) modeling, which covers a broad range, from the sharing economy for the electricity sector, to the optimal online game matchmaking mechanism design.
