Programme Information

This two-year programme is research-oriented. It aims at training communication specialists who plan to pursue further studies, or to become media professionals, executives, researchers, consultants, government officials, etc. Students are required to complete a minimum of 21 units, in addition to a thesis, in order to graduate.

Tuition Fee
HK$42,100 per annum regardless of the study mode
Admission Requirements

Please refer to the general requirements of the Graduate School. Applicants from any discipline may apply. Preference will be given to applicants with a solid background in social science and well-developed research interests in journalism/communication. All applicants must have a minimum TOEFL score of 580 (or computer-based score of 237, or internet-based score of 92) or a minimum IELTS score of 7.

Applicants are required to furnish proof of their research potential in form of:

  1. a research proposal;
  2. three letters of reference from academic sources; and
  3. good undergraduate academic records.
