David joined City University in 2020. He has worked in Hong Kong in the field of teaching English as a second language for 20 years helping students of a wide range of ages. Prior to teaching at the Language Centre, David taught various courses at British Council, Savannah College of Art and Design, and The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong.
In addition to teaching English for Academic Purposes, David was also the University of Sunderland’s English assessor for the East Asia region, and helped develop assessments for many courses. He was fortunate enough to travel and meet many university students throughout China.
