Dr. Tsang obtained the Associateship in ElectronicEngineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1983 and the M.Eng. degree(by research) and Ph.D. degree from the University of Wales College ofCardiff (formerly known as the University of Wales Institute of Scienceand Technology, United Kingdom) in 1987 and 1995 respectively. He has workedin both the Hong Kong Polytechnic and the City Polytechnic of Hong Kongas a Research Assistant for three years. He then joined Corad TechnologyLtd. as a Product Executive for one-and-a-half years. In March 1988, hejoined the City University of Hong Kong as a Lecturer (now Assistant Professor)in the Department of Electronic Engineering.Dr. Tsang has served the department as Year-1 tutor for a numberof years. He was also appointed as the Departmental Examination Officersince Oct. 1995.Dr. Tsang worked on millimetre waveguide (3 mm) during his M.Eng.study and power oscillator design during his Ph.D. study. He has publishedover 50 technical papers. Dr. Tsang is also actively engaging in consultancyprojects such as pager design and GSM technology.
