主要研究方向:(1) 空间电磁波与电磁场理论及应用,(2)空间等离子体基本动力学理论;(3)波-粒相互作用产生的粒子随机加速和扩散过程;(4)地球环电流的产生,增长和衰减过程; (5) 地球极区动力学过程
主持国家杰出青年基金项目1项、国家自然科学基金面上项目5项等;以第一作者发表SCI收录论文45篇;2011年获湖南省自然科学一等奖(排名第一)。
