胡炜，男，博士，研究员，博士生导师，所长助理，鱼类基因工程学科组组长；国家杰出青年基金和湖北省杰出青年基金获得者，湖北省自然科学基金创新群体负责人；国家农业转基因生物安全委员会委员，中国动物学会比较内分泌分会理事，中国生物化学与分子生物学学会农业分会常务理事，中国水产学会水产生物技术专业委员会委员，湖北省暨武汉动物学会理事；《农业生物技术学报》和《遗传》编委。先后在南开大学和中国科学院获学士、硕士和博士学位。主要从事鱼类遗传育种、鱼类生殖发育调控和克隆胚胎再程序化机制等研究。培育成功快速生长的转全鱼GH基因鲤纯系，阐明了转植基因整合的行为及分子机制，系统深入地研究了转基因鱼的生态安全；建立鱼类育性可控的生殖开关模型；揭示鱼类生殖轴中重要信号分子调控性腺发育的机理；发现了硬骨鱼生殖轴与生长轴间新的信号调控通路；发现影响鱼类配子减数分裂的信号分子在精子发育和成熟中的功能；建立鱼类高效特异的靶向基因编辑技术平台，并有效运用于鱼类遗传育种和基因功能研究。建立模式动物斑马鱼的克隆技术，获得斑马鱼体细胞再程序化机制及克隆胚发育机理研究的新发现。在Scientific Reports，Biology of Reproduction，MolecularEndocrinology，Endocrinology，Journal of Neuroendocrinology，General and Comparative Endocrinology，Marine Biotechnology，Methods，International Journal of Biological Sciences，Aquaculture以及《中国科学》和《科学通报》等国内外学术刊物上发表论文100多篇，其中SCI论文40余篇；参编国内外著作4本。获美国发明专利2项，获中国发明专利4项。
