个人经历
1976年作为知识青年上山下乡,在西藏加查县冷达公社插队;1988年在日本东北大学获得博士学位;当年回国在中山大学从事生物学博士后研究工作,出站后留校任教至今;1994年晋升为教授,现为中山大学生命科学学院教授(二级),生态学专业和环境科学专业博士生导师。

讲授课程
主讲应用生态学、环境污染与健康、生态学进展、环境科学进展等本科和研究生课程。

学术成就

Sci.、生态学报、植物生态学报、应用生态学报等国内外学术期刊发表论文近210篇;主要研究方向为应用生态学、环境生物学、环境教育、循环低碳发展。主持完成的研究成果或教育部科技进步一等奖、中国高校科技进步奖二等奖、广东省科技进步奖二等奖;主持编写了“道路边坡生态防护工程技术规范及验收标准”(DB44/T499-2008)”、“采石场生态恢复工程施工及验收技术规范”(DB44/T500-2008)两项广东省地方标准;获9项发明专利授权。享受国务院特殊津贴。

承担课题
先后承担80多项科研项目,主持多项国家自然科学基金、国家科技计划项目或专项、广东省自然科学基金重点项目及面上项目、广东省重点科技项目、广州市科技攻关计划重大项目、中日政府间科技合作项目、香港裘槎基金项目、日本教育基金会项目、日本政府无偿援助的利民基金项目以及企事业单位委托研究项目等。
