主要从事土体强度的时间效应、土体微观结构随时间的演化机制的研究,以及将岩土工程与微电子学进行学科交叉,研发各类新型传感器和智能土壤;用大数据对海量监测结果进行分析整合,搭建大数据结构,对各类土壤、边坡和城市轨道交通等进行实时监测,对地质灾害做到前期预警;同时涉猎可持续发展建筑材料的研究。作为主要完成人参与完成香港政府研究资助局基础研究项目2项、仪器研究项目1项和基础设施研究项目1项,香港政府创新科技基金研究项目1项;同时参与香港政府创新科技基金研究项目1项。博士后期间获得香港科技大学博士后研究基金资助。
