研究兴趣与方向主要从事地球内部结构的地震成像研究(包括反射地震、天然地震成像和短周期密集台阵),发展和运用各种地震成像技术(面波层析成像、背景噪音、接收函数、剪切波分裂等),结合其他地球物理手段,并融合构造地质学、岩石学和地球化学等学科,理解大陆与洋盆岩石圈的结构、物质成分与状态及其演化的动力学过程,以及南中国海北部的天然气水合物成矿机制等。目前主要在喜马拉雅-青藏高原造山带、南海及全球克拉通等地区开展研究。

Research Interests?
? ? I conduct research on global-scale and regional-scale earth structure and basin-scale hydrocarbon (oil and gas, gas hydrate) exploration using seismic imaging with both passive and active source seismic data.
? ? My current research mainly focuses on understanding the lithospheric structure and dynamics of the Himalayan-Tibetan Orogen?and cratons using multiple geophysical methods, especially seismic imaging techniques (e.g. Surface wave tomography; Ambient noise tomography, receiver function, shear wave splitting).
? ? I’m also interested in subsurface gas hydrate detection using a variety of geophysical methods in northern South China Sea. For example, I characterized hydrate-related geological features with 3-D seismic data and explored how hydrate associates with seafloor gas seepage and their implications for seafloor geohazard. I have used long-offset (~10 km) basin-scale (up to ~40 km depth) reflection seismic data to understand deep crustal structure and reveal how the deep structure relates to potential petroleum system in basins. The work/study areas cover a variety of continental margins, such as Gulf of Mexico, Peru, NE Atlantic, Eastern Africa, Northeastern Canada, and North Alaska.
