沈涛，清华大学经济管理学院金融系副教授。2013年获得美国明尼苏达大学卡尔森商学院金融学博士学位，同年加入清华大学经管学院。2008年获得美国佐治亚理工H.M. Stewart工业与系统工程学院统计学硕士学位和Ivan Allen文理学院经济学硕士学位，2006年获得南开大学金融学学士学位。
研究领域包括公司投资，资本结构，金融市场等，主持和参与多项国家自然科学基金项目，多篇研究成果发表在国内外知名学术期刊上，包括：Journal of Financial Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Foundations and Trends In Entrepreneurship, 《管理世界》,《金融研究》,《会计研究》，《清华管理评论》等。
担任Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, International Review of Economics and Finance, Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies, Economics Bulletin,《管理世界》, 《金融研究》，《金融监管研究》等国内外知名学术期刊审稿人。曾获得“中国金融学术年会-新结构金融学最佳论文奖”，“中国决策科学学术年会优秀论文”。
讲授的课程包括《公司金融》，《公司金融案例分析》，《金融学原理》，《中国金融实务课堂》等，曾获得清华大学教学成果奖一等奖，经管学院教学优秀一等奖等。目前担任金融系学术活动协调人、金融系本科项目协调人、和金融硕士项目委员会委员。
