课题组研究方向简介
1. 惰性小分子活化转化研究
分子的活化转化是化学研究的核心内容,其中,惰性小分子的活化转化十分困难,但意义特别重大,例如,合成氨(N2+ 3H2 ->2NH3)对人类现代化有不可估量的贡献。目前,CH4、CO2、N2等惰性分子的活化转化(CH4->C2Hx, CH4+ H2O -> CH2O + 2H2, CO2+ H2->CxHyOz…)常常需要高温、高压、强酸、强碱等苛刻条件,寻找温和条件下惰性小分子活化转化新途径,是本课题组研究的重要方向。我们使用自主研制的实验仪器,制备几个至上百个原子组成的原子团簇,在完全可控、可重复的条件下,测定团簇与CH4、CO2、N2等分子在温和条件下的反应,筛选出性能优良的团簇,结合先进谱学实验和量子化学计算认识其反应机理,进一步探索分子宏量催化转化的方法。我们在甲烷、氮气、二氧化碳等分子活化转化方面取得了系列研究进展。
2. 挥发性有机物检测研究
挥发性有机物(volatile organic compounds, VOCs)是一类大气污染物,具有致癌、致畸、致突变性,严重危害人体健康,同时,VOCs 也是光化学烟雾和PM2.5的重要前体物。VOCs也是人体呼出物和食品挥发物的重要成分,相关检测有助于疾病早期诊断和食品质量鉴定。化学电离质谱检测具有选择性高和软电离等特点,在VOCs检测中具有重要的优势。基于我们自主开发的团簇质谱实验仪器,寻找新型离子源,高灵敏、特异性检测VOCs是本课题组的重要研究方向,最近,我们在长链烷烃、乙二醛、甲基乙二醛无碎裂高灵敏质谱检测方面取得了研究进展。
3. 科学仪器设计与研制
科学仪器是推动科学研究的主要动力,针对上述惰性小分子活化转化研究、挥发性有机物检测研究中不断出现的科学问题,我们自主设计研制包括机械、真空、光学、电学、自动控制等技术在内的实验仪器。课题组利用电子和离子轨迹模拟、工程设计等软件,从头设计并建立了四套大型实验仪器,实现了高分辨率质谱、碰撞和光诱导解离质谱、真空-紫外光电离质谱、红外光解离光谱、光电子速度成像、四极质量过滤器、低温与高温离子阱等实验技术的集成与发展,建立了团簇综合研究实验平台。

课题组研究方向简介
1. 惰性小分子活化转化研究

学术成果:发现了甲烷在温和条件下活化转化的协同策略,提出了异核金属氧化物团簇催化中的"电负性阶梯"效应,建立了氧自由和金属单原子催化研究的新方法。发表SCI论文200余篇,其中在Acc. Chem. Res.、J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 期刊上发表论文30余篇;授权专利4项。主持承担基金委****基金、重点项目、仪器研制项目等。

Cluster chemistry

The research program of Dr. He's group focuses on generating and charactering very small chemical entities composed of limited numbers of atoms. These chemical entities are termed as atomic clusters or molecular clusters depending on the nature of chemical bonding in the systems. The properties of clusters are strongly dependent on the numbers of atoms in the systems, which are well recognized as "each atom counts" in the community of cluster sciences. By studying how and why each atom counts, one can provide reliable and fundamental basis with a bottom up strategy to solve complex scientific problems in practical applications.
Transformation of very stable molecules including methane, dinitrogen, carbon monoxide, and so on at low temperature or even room temperature is of great importance in terms of energy conservation and environmental protection. The research target of Dr. He's group is to find the mechanisms of low temperature activation and conversion of very stable molecules by a systematic study of the elementary reactions between molecules and cluster species under isolated, controlled, and well reproducible conditions with home-made instruments. These mechanisms can be fundamental basis with which to develop new catalytic materials or strategies in practice.
