邹 捍，男，1959年12月生于北京，研究员，博士生导师，低层大气探测研究部主任，中国科学探险协会副主席，中国科协“全国先进科技工作者”。1983年毕业于中国科学技术大学地球和空间科学系，1993年获得挪威卑尔根大学理学博士学位。1990-1994年在挪威卑尔根大学地球物理研究所工作，1995年回国。主要研究领域：青藏高原、南北极地区、沙漠等地区大气动力学和物理过程，包括野外观测实验、理论分析和数值模拟实验。曾多次领导和参加国家与国际大型野外科学实验和研究项目。例如，上世纪80年代，中科院横断山科学考察，中科院西太平洋科学考察，日本南极科学考察等；上世纪90年代，中日、中挪珠峰大气科学考察，挪威、瑞典北极大气科学研究，中科院南沙科学实验，中国首次北冰洋科学考察；2000年以来，珠峰地区大气环境实验，喜马拉雅山地气交换实验，塔克拉玛干地气交换观测研究等。其中，青藏高原臭氧亏损机制研究在1999年被中国科学院工程院两院院士评为"中国十大科技进展"第三名。发表文章60余篇，代表性论著如下：
