现任中国菌物学会副理事长，《菌物学报》主编，《生物技术通报》副主编，《北京林业大学学报》副主编等。
主要研究方向、承担项目与科研成果
主要从事森林生态系统木生真菌多样性、系统发育、真菌生态、真菌酶活性、食药用真菌及森林病害研究。主持承担了国家基金委重大国际合作、重点、面上、国际交流，科技部国际科技合作重点、973、863、科技支撑计划，农业部行业科技专项、国家转基因生物新品种培育重大科技专项等项目或课题。主编15部大型真菌资源和系统分类著作，在国内外发表学术论文350余篇，其中220余篇发表在37种SCI期刊上，H因子37，总引5000余次。获得省部级一等奖1项，二等奖6项。2014-2017年连续入选爱思唯尔中国高被引榜。
