Abstract:
I am concerned with the long-time asymptotic behavior for solutions of the focusing nonlinear Schr\"odinger (NLS) equation with symmetric, non-zero boundary conditions (NZBCs) in the presence of a double discrete spectrum. Based on the Biondini's work, I establish an associated Riemann-Hilbert problem(RHP) with a double discrete spectrum; this allows to study effectively the long-time asymptotic behavior of the solution by using the Deift-Zhou method. Due to the arise of discrete spectrum, three different interaction outcomes can arise depending on the precise location of the discrete poles.
