主要研究领域与方向
主要研究方向为番茄、猕猴桃、粮食作物为代表的植物比较基因组学、功能基因组学与代谢组学，发掘和阐述涉及果实成熟、植物抗逆过程中的主要调控网络
代表性研究成果
2013年，以第一作者身份（共同第一作者，排名第一），解析了中华猕猴桃“红阳”的全基因组序列（Draft genome of the kiwifruit Actinidia chinensis. Nature Communications2013, 4:2640）。该论文对揭示了中华猕猴桃基因组编码的39，040个基因，阐述了中华猕猴桃基因组进化过程中的三次倍增事件，以及中华猕猴桃果实风味形成的分子机制。
