工学博士,博士生导师。硅材料国家重点实验室主任,无机非金属材料研究所所长,国务院学位委员会第七届学科评议组成员;教育部“****奖励计划”****(2012年),国家****科学基金获得者(2006年);入选教育部“跨世纪优秀人才”培养计划,浙江省“****”杰出人才、浙江省有突出贡献中青年专家和“新世纪151人才工程”重点培养人选。
先后主持国家****科学基金、海外及港澳****合作研究基金(含延续项目)、国家自然科学基金重点项目、国家自然科学基金重大国际合作项目等20余项。长期从事微孔功能晶体材料、无机-有机杂化功能材料及其在生物与环境传感检测、气体吸附与分离、非线性光学、发光显示等领域应用探索研究。
Professor Guodong Qian received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Materials Science from Zhejiang University. He joined the Materials Department of Zhejiang University after obtaining his PhD degree from the same University. He has been Visiting Scholar and Visiting Professor at Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, China, and at Kyoto University, Japan. He was awarded JSPS Research Fellowship (December 2001-February 2002) as a Visiting Researcher at the Photon Craft Project, ICORP, JST in Japan. He was promoted to full professor and Distinguished Scholarin 2002 and 2011, respectively.
Professor Qian is the coordinator of many national projects and the author of more than 290 scientific papers. He also has32 patents. In 2001, he was awarded the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of China, Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation for Young Teachers and Trans-Century Training Programme Foundation for the Talents by Ministry of Education, respectively. In 2004, he was awarded the Kurata Award by The Ceramic Society of Japan. He was the winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2006.
His current research interests include hybrid organic-inorganic photonic materials (solid tunable laser media, luminescence materials and nonlinear optical materials);cathode or anode materials oflithium-ionbatteries; photonic glasses; optical spectroscopy; metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for the sensing, storage and separation.

Professor Guodong Qian received his bachelor’s (1988) and master’s (1992) degrees in Materials Science from Zhejiang University. He joined the Materials Department of Zhejiang University after obtaining his PhD degree from the same University in 1997. He has been Visiting Scholar and Visiting Professor at Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, China, and at Kyoto University, Japan.
