刘鹏，男，湖南冷水江市人，1989年7月到浙江师范大学生物科学系工作，现为植物学实验室主任。2000-2004年与浙江大学联合培养硕士研究生，2002年成为本校生态学硕士生导师，2004年成为本校植物学硕士生导师，同时也被聘为广西大学植物学硕士生导师。
生态学招生主要为环境生态修复方向，植物学招生主要为环境植物学方向。
1980.9-1984.7 湖南师范大学生物系学士，1986.9-1989.7 华东师范大学生物系植物学专业硕士，1989.7- 浙江师范大学生物学专业教学和科研工作，1997.9-2000.7 浙江大学植物营养学博士，2000年晋升为本校的教授，2002.9-2003.1 到上海外国语大学留学培训部进行国家留学基金高访前的英语培训，2004.1-2004.7 英国Queen University of Belfast高级访问****。
担任《中文核心期刊》和《外文核心期刊》评审专家，中国濒危物种科学委员会专家库成员，国家自然科学基金评议专家，浙江省自然科学基金专家组成员；中国农业生态环境保护协会理事，浙江省微量元素与健康学会常务理事，浙江省土壤与肥料学会常务理事，金华市环境保护协会理事；浙江师范大学植物学和生态学硕士生导师，广西大学植物学硕士导师；担任《水土保持学报》、《生态环境学报》、《中国油料作物学报》和《Hans Journal of Soil Science》编辑委员会的编委，每年在国内和国外影响较大的刊物进行较多论文的审稿。主要从事逆境植物生理生态、环境生态、植物营养和生物多样性保护的研究工作。主持或参加了30多项国家自然基金科学基金、国家科技攻关项目、省科技国际合作项目、省自然科学基金和省公益技术应用研究项目等。获得了2项浙江省自然科学学术三等奖（第一），7项浙江省自然科学优秀论文奖（第一）。
