个人简介
Dr. Robert Pierce received his Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from Monash University in Melbourne, 2009, having also spent some time as a research engineer with Advanced Composite Structures Australia. He was also awarded his PhD from Monash University in 2015, which focussed on the simulation of composites manufacturing processes, in association with Boeing Research and Technology Australia. Prior to his Assistant Professor role at UNNC, Dr. Pierce spent three years researching inspection and repair techniques for composite structures at Queen’s University Belfast, in partnership with Bombardier and other local companies. His research interests in the field of composites include out-of-autoclave manufacturing, woven fabrics, process modelling, non-destructive inspection and material characterisation.
