个人简介
I have taught English for academic purposes for ten years in China, Turkey, and South Korea, designing and delivering courses on general academic writing, creative writing, and technical report writing. I was a literature and rhetoric student while at university, and this has helped develop my focus on teaching writing. I’m interested in both ‘writing across the curriculum’ and ‘writing in the disciplines’ approaches to teaching writing, as well as genre in academic discourse. I’m currently the team leader for the Academic Literacy Development Centre.


教学
I have taught preliminary year courses for the Centre for English Language Education; however, now my primary teaching focus is in-sessional English language and academic skills provision through the Academic Literacy Development Centre. Accordingly, my principal pedagogical interest is in finding ways to improve students’ academic performance through their use of self-access and writing centres, particularly in internationalized higher education contexts.
