个人简介
I joined the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) as a tutor in science and mathematics in December 2016, having recently completed a teaching course (PGCE) at the University of Warwick and spent over a year working in schools in the UK.
Between 1999 and 2014, I have been a lecturer in physics and space physics at the University of Leicester, teaching a range of topics in physics at under-graduate and post-graduate level, as well as Senior Postgraduate Tutor.
I have been a research scientist at the University of Oxford and the University of Leicester and have worked at the UK Meteorological Office and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Facility in Maryland, USA.

Seminar leader: Foundation Calculus and Mathematical Techniques


研究方向
Geophysical fluid dynamics related to the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans, especially the coupling between the upper atmospheric layers and the troposphere. Solar modulation of the climate system. Satellite and radar remote sensing and global circulation modelling. The use of meteor trails to study the mesosphere.
Research supervision
I have supervised or co-supervised six PhD students and was responsible for the young researchers on the SPARTAN programme. I was also the Postgraduate Senior Tutor at Leicester.
