个人简介
Dr. Hong Zhang has been teaching in the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) since 2016 Sept. He is a CELE Content Tutor in International Business and Economics. He teaches UNNC Preliminary Year Programme (PYP) undergraduate students who are majoring in business and economics. As a core member of teaching faculty for CELE PYP international foundation pathway, Dr. Hong specializes in creating, developing and teaching the courses on maths and statistics for business and economics. He has successfully designed and developed two foundation pathway courses for CELE PYP: one is ‘Introduction to Mathematics for Business and Economics’ (module code: CELEF010), the other one is ‘Introduction to Statistics for Business and Economics (module code: CELEF009)’. He is now the module convenors of these two courses.
Dr. Hong Zhang holds a bachelor degree in business management from University of Nottingham, a master degree with the distinction in accounting and finance from University of Durham, and a doctoral degree in finance from Nottingham University. At UNNC, he was the recipient of NUBS China Head’s Student Scholarship, NUBS China PhD Full Scholarship, and NUBS China Outstanding Postgraduate Teaching Award. Dr. Hong has a long-term commitment to both teaching and research – oriented HE career. Dr. Hong’s main research interests lie in corporate finance, corporate governance, financial reporting, Fintech, corporate innovation and so on. His recent research outputs have been published in world-leading journals in finance such as International Journal of Finance and Economics, International Journal of Financial Analysis. He also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Research in International Business and Finance, and he has been often invited to present owned research papers at many internationally reputable conferences. One of his academic articles on corporate governance was nominated for the 2018 best paper award by International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS). In the same year, he was awarded the UNNC 2017-18 Top Performer for the contributions to CELE PYP curriculum development as well as influential research outputs.
