邱汉琴

院长、杰出教授、博士、博士生导师


邱汉琴教授，英国思克莱德大学（University of Strathclyde）博士，本科和硕士研究生分别毕业于中国南开大学与加拿大滑铁卢大学（University of Waterloo），主要从事国际旅游方面的研究。邱教授为本科, 硕士，及博士研究生讲授旅游规划发展与政策相关的课程。她的研究兴趣包括旅游研究、消费者行为和中国酒店与旅游发展及政策问题。她同时兼任浙江大学，天津商学院，美国俄克拉荷马州立大学客座教授，华南理工大学讲座教授，顺德职业技术学院的荣誉教授，中山大学教学管理顾问。
邱教授从2015起担任Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism的主编，并受邀担任过International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management和 Journal of Vacation Marketing中国酒店与旅游发展专题的客座主编与International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management的区域主编。她已在旅游与酒店管理方面的国际主流期刊发了60多篇优质的SSCI论文（期刊包括International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Travel Research, Tourism Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management和 Journal of Vacation Marketing等）并在所有大型旅游国际会议上宣讲过她的研究成果。
邱教授曾出任香港理工大学酒店与旅游业管理学院中国硕士研究生项目的负责人，并自1999年起与浙江大学开展硕士研究生项目的合作，至今已成功运行近20年。邱教授在国内主持了大量的咨询与培训项目，包括为世界旅游组织、中国酒店业协会、香港中国旅行社、广州酒店业协会等旅游机构提供培训服务。她还分别在2000年与2002年主持了世界旅游组织的咨询项目，为云南省与黑龙江省设计总体的旅游规划。
随着互联网年代高科技的发展，邱教授应香港理工大学高层邀请出面主导教学创新。在短短一年时间里， 她带领她的团队与美国麻省理工和哈弗大学创办的edX 平台合作研发创办了全球首个国际酒店管理微硕士课程。该课程得到学界和业界的大力支持。目前来自全球一百七十多个国家的两万多人士已注册参加学习。目前邱教授应香港联合国教科文组织邀请出任主管持续教育的副会长。她期待通过互联网年代高科技的发展推广人类持续教育终身学习的理念。
