王宇平,教授,博导,IEEE高级会员(Senior Member of IEEE)。1993年6月在西安交通大学获博士学位,1995年被评为电子工业部优秀科技青年。国家科学技术奖评审专家,国际杂志《International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence》、《International Journal of Innovative Computing Information and Control》、《Journal of Computers》的客座主编(Guest-Editor),国际会议CIS2011的大会主席、多个国际会议的程序委员会主席。现为全国经济数学与管理数学学会副理事长。
分别在7/2010~9/2010,7/2009~9/2009,7/2008~9/2008,7/2007~10/2007,7/2006~10/2006和3/2004~9/2004应邀去香港城市大学作访问研究员,分别在4/2002 ~1/2003,2/2000~3/2000和4/1998~12/1998应邀去香港浸会大学作访问****,在1/1997~7/1997应邀去香港中文大学作访问副研究员。

Introduction
Yuping Wang received his Ph.D. degree in computation mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 1993. He is currently a full professor with the School of Computer Science and Technology, Xidian University, Xi’an, China. He is the senior member of IEEE.


Research Interests
His current research interests include evolutionary computation, optimization algorithms and modeling for engineering problems, data mining and task scheduling. He has published over 150 research papers in journals and conferences. From January, 1997 to 9/2010, he visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Baptist University and the City University of Hong Kong many times as a visiting scholar. He was the Member of the Editorial Board of Integrated Computer Aided Engineering, and the Guest Co-editor of several journals such as International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, Integrated Computer Aided Engineering, Mathematical Problems in Engineering andInternational Journal of Innovative Computing Information and Control. He was Co-Chair or Co-PC Chair of several International Conferences.
