刘禹,男,汉族,1963年出生,博士, 二级研究员,博士生导师,现任中科院地球环境研究所所长、党委书记。1986年本科毕业于南京大学地质系,1999年博士毕业于中国科学院研究生院,获博士学位。国务院突贡专家津贴获得者,瑞典哥德堡大学客座教授,西安交通大学双聘教授,国际树轮协会(TRS)副主席,亚洲树轮协会前主席。兼任中国第四纪科学研究会常务理事、副秘书长,任Geografiska Annaler(A)(瑞典)副主编及国际树木年轮研究旗舰刊物Dendrochronologia(瑞士)副主编,《科学通报(中文版)》《第四纪研究》和《地球环境学报》编委。
主要从事树轮气候学、树轮同位素及全球变化研究,2005年获国家****基金,2008年获首届王宽城西部****突出贡献奖,2008年获国家自然科学二等奖(排名第5),2007获陕西省科学进步一等奖(排名第6),2011获陕西省科学进步二等奖(排名第1)。发表论文225余篇(其中SCI论文130余篇)。
培养博士硕士研究生毕业46 名,在读10名。所培养的研究生获中科院院长特别奖(全院每年40人,地环所首次获得)1人次,组内5名青年职工均获自然科学青年基金(或面上基金)资助。
1993年10月-1995年9月、2003年11月-2004年6月分别美国亚利桑那大学、美国威斯康星大学从事研究工作。
