报告摘要：We propose and analyze a delayed HIV-1 model with CTL immune response and virus waning. We obtain the positiveness and boundednessof solutions and find the basic reproduction number R0. If R0 < 1, then the infection-free steady state is globally asymptotically stable and the infection is cleared fromthe T-cell population; whereas if R0 > 1, then the system is uniformly persistent andthe viral concentration maintains at some constant level. The global dynamics whenR0 > 1 is complicated. We establish the local stability of the infected steady state andshow that Hopf bifurcation can occur. Both analytical and numerical results indicatethat if, in the initial infection stage, the effect of delays on HIV-1 infection is ignoredthen the risk of HIV-1 infection (if persists) will be underestimated. Moreover, theviral load differs from that without virus waning. These highlight the important roleof delays and virus waning on HIV-1 infection. 报告人简介：陈玉明，男，博士，加拿大罗瑞尔大学教授、博士生导师。 分别于1991年和1994年在北京大学获学士学位和硕士学位，并于2000年在加拿大约克大学获理学博士学位，2000年9月至2001年6月在加拿大阿尔伯塔大学做博士后。主要研究兴趣为动力系统和泛函微分方程理论及其在生物数学和神经网络中的应用。已在包括 SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis、Nonlinearity、Journal of Differential Equations、Physica D、 Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society、 Mathematical Biosciences和Neural Networks等国际著名刊物发表论文90余篇，其成果被同行广泛引用，曾获安大略省科技与创新部早期研究者奖。主持了4项加拿大国家自然科学与工程理事会(NSERC)科研基金项目，参与了3项中国国家自然科学基金面上项目。积极参与高质量人才的培养。陈教授与中国学者有广泛交流与合作，曾入选山西省“百人计划”人才。
