Benjamin K. Hammer， 中文名孟巍隆，1977年生于美国旧金山。在美国攻读国际关系专业的学士学位。本科期间，出国留学南京大学一年。回国毕业后，回到山东大学研习中国古文化。是在山东大学获得中国古典文献学硕士学位的第一欧美人；在北京大学中文系读博，是北京大学获中国古典文献学博士学位的第一欧美人。



现任儒学院讲师。研究方向为先秦两汉经学、子学研究、小学以及西方汉学史。



Benjamin K. Hammer, Chinese name Meng Wei Long, was born in 1977 near San Francisco. He received his bachelor’s degree in international relations from American University, Washington, DC. He then went to China for further studies in Chinese history and philosophy. He received his master’s degree in ancient Chinese documentology at Shandong University (2005), and his Ph.D. from Beijing University in the same major. His areas of specialty include textual studies of the Confucian classics and other schools of philosophy from the Pre-Qin to Han period, philology, textual criticism, and Western Sinology. He is currently a lecturer at Shandong University’s Advanced Institute of Confucian Studies.
