简介：Ph.D. Architect and Urban Planner, Associate Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University since 2016, former Visiting Professor at the same University from 2013 to 2015. Previously Associate Researcher at the University of Seville (2016), he has also been a professor at the University of Seville (2002-2015), Universidad San Pablo - CEU (2008), Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (2007), and Texas Tech University (2005). He has been invited as a guest critic and lecturer at the University of Cuenca (2015), Newcastle University (2014), University Santo Tomas (2014), Illinois Institute of Technology (2013), Universidad Europea de Madrid (2006), Southern California Institute of Architecture – SCI-Arc (2005), and Leibniz Universität Hannover (2004).
As an expert in contemporary heritage, he is the drafter of the Spanish National Plan on 20^th Century Heritage for the Spanish Institute of Cultural Heritage, and member of the Advisory Boardof the same Plan. He was Director of the 8^th Iberian Docomomo Conference in 2013, anda member of the Registers Committee of the Iberian Docomomo Foundation. He was Project Manager of architectural heritage documentationat the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage, and Coordinator ofthe Register of 20^th Century Architectural Heritage in Andalusia.
Editor of Built Heritage, he is a member of the Editorial Board of Neutra journal and a peer reviewer at ZARCH. The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Architecture. He is the author of In Light of Hilberseimer: The Genesis and Legacy of The New City (2015). He has edited two books: Factories of Knowledge. The Architectural Heritage of the University of Seville (2014) and 100 years of Architecture in Andalusia (2012). He is also a regular contributor to international research journals such as Cities. The International Journal of Urban Policy and Planning and Docomomo International Journal.
