课程内容简介(英文) This course mainly introduces the typical and new switching technologies in the field of telecommunications. It includes ten chapters: 1) Chapter one, it introduces the related basic knowledge such as the key technologies of the telecommunication networks, classification of the switching technologies, etc; 2) Chapter two, it firstly introduces the corresponding knowledge about signal multiplexing, switching element, etc, and based on the above, mainly introduces some typical switching networks such as T-S network, CLOS network, BENES network, CANTOR network, BABYAN network, etc; 3) Chapter three, it introduces the related knowledge about signaling system, emphasizing on No. 7 signaling system; 4) Chapter four, it introduces the related knowledge about two kinds of earlier typical switching technologies --- circuit switching and digital stored program control switching, emphasizing on the introduction about the working mechanism, software and hardware composing, call processing software of the digital stored program control switching; 5) Chapter five, it introduces the related knowledge about the mobile switching, including the basic knowledge of PLMN, the working mechanism of mobile switching, the basic technologies such as general process of mobile call and handover, the mobile signaling, etc; 6)Chapter six, it introduces the related knowledge about packet switching and frame relay, including their working mechanism, characteristic, protocol, routing and flow control, etc; 7)Chapter seven, it introduces the related knowledge about ATM switching, including ATM cell structure, ATM layered protocol structure, ATM switching networks, ATM working mechanism, ATM flow control and congestion control, etc; 8)Chapter eight, it introduces the related knowledge about multiple-layered switching, including the second layered switching, the third layered switching, the fourth layered switching and the seventh layered switching, and emphasizing on the introduction of the working mechanism of the third layered switching and some corresponding typical solutions, etc; 9)Chapter nine, it introduces the related knowledge about optical switching, including some typical optical switching elements, the working mechanism of optical switching, the classification of optical switching, some typical optical switching technologies such as space-division optical switching, time-division optical switching, code-division optical switching, wave-division optical switching, optical packet switching, ATM optical switching, etc; 10)Chapter ten, it introduces the related knowledge about soft switching, including the related basic knowledge of NGN, the definition, characteristics, functions of soft switching, the working mechanism of soft switching, the important soft switching network elements such as MGC and MG, the typical protocols such as H.248/MGCP/H.323/SIP, etc. As a whole, this course introduces not only the fundamental and general knowledge about the switching technologies but also the corresponding advanced technologies and trends. |
